Subject: - Proposal for discontinuation of Telephone Advisory Committees: Reg.
Kindly find enclosed copy of letter dated 11-5-2009 from General Secretary, BSNL Employee Union vide which they have requested to discontinue the practice of TACs. CMD has desired to prepare a case to be forwarded to DOT for discontinuing the existing practice of TACs. For this purpose, it is requested to get the details of existing TACs including the expenditure incurred on the TACs. Details of the existing TACs, date of constitution and tenure as per the records, available with this office, are enclosed. The same may be verified and confirmed. More details, such as number of TAC members and details of expenditure incurred on each TAC, since the constitution of the current TAC, may also be given in the following format:
