DoT has ttaken up tthe matttter wiitth Departtmentt off Expendiitture tthrough Departtmentt off
Pensiion and Pensiioners’’ Wellffare on 01..05..2009.. A remiinder has been sentt by DoT tto
DoP & PW on 27..08..2009 ffor expediittiing tthe matttter..

2.. Merger off 50% IIDA ffor BSNL rettiirees – Reviisiion off Pensiion off BSNL rettiirees
The case off 50% IIDA merger ffor BSNL rettiirees beffore 01..01..2007 was ttaken by DoT
wiitth DPE & DoP & PW.. Siince none off tthem have giiven concurrence,, no acttiion coulld be
ttaken by DoT,, who has now cllosed tthe ffiille..
Reviisiion off Pensiion off BSNL rettiirees has been ttaken up by DoT..
3.. Grantt off Liineman Pay scalle tto offffiiciialls qualliiffiied iin tthe 2nd Screeniing ttestt
IItt wiillll be examiined whetther tthere iis any diiscriimiinattiion afftter whiich necessary deciisiion wiillll
be ttaken..
4.. HRA cases
33 cases off iiniittiiall grantt off HRA are pendiing wiitth DPE.. Remiinder has been sentt tto DPE
tto expediitte tthe same..
Renewall off 21 outt off 24 cases receiived by DoT has now been iissued..
5.. IIssue off Presiidenttiiall orders
Approvall ffor presiidenttiiall order iin 37 ciirclles have been accorded by DoT.. Otther cases wiillll
be settttlled when tthe lliistts are receiived ffrom BSNL.. BSNL assured tto remiind tthe
concerned ciirclles ffor dettaiills..
6.. Speediing up off Diisciiplliinary cases
239 cases outt off 258 cases receiived by DoT are settttlled.. 19 cases are pendiing whiich wiillll
be ffiinalliised wiitthoutt dellay..
