Sub: Launch of new Pre Paid RDEL 250 Plan.
A new pre paid plan for RDEL SDCAs have been launched with effect from 1.1.2010
vide GM Marketing letter No. Mktg/CDMA/WLL/08-09/ dated 24.12.2009. In this plan
Prepaid WLL connections can be provided in in 99 RDEL SCAs as per following
details:
1. Lump sum charges Rs. 250/-
2. Initial talk time Rs. 10/-
3. Validity 12 Months.
4. Activation charges Nil
Copy of D.O. letter No. 2-64/RDTF/2008 dated 30.12.2009 from CMD is enclosed
regarding increase in RDEL connections. CMD has written “Mr. Satyapal is capable of
spinning up a surprise but the best strategy is to strike before it is late”. CGM desires
following action to be taken for increasing RDEL connections.
1. Targets should be given to each DE/SDE/JTO/PM in each of the SDCA.

Thus if one RDEL connection is provided per day in each exchange area, we may be able
to meet the target.

2. In rural areas village market is held once in a week for a group of 3/4
villages. Mela/Stall should be organized during such Bazar days wherein
prepaid connections can be sold on the spot. NTC forms etc. should be kept
in sufficient number in these melas.
3. It is to mention that MP circle has given 69000 connections, MHR 21000,
AP26000, RJ 12700 and UP (E) 19500 connections in this pre paid plan. It
should not be difficult for us to exceed the RDEL achievement of last year.
4. Sufficient number of FWTs have been allotted to all the SSAs. Details of the
same are enclosed in the Annexure. More supply of FWT is expected by end
of January, 2010.
5. SDCA wise numbering scheme in this pre-paid 250 plan has already been
created in IN at Vadodara and the same is also uploaded on Circle Intranet.
6. The Plan must have already been implemented in Dotsoft in all the SSAs.
All the SSAs are earnestly requested to monitor the progress of RDEL achievement and
weekly progress of achievement and Melas held in SDCAs may be sent to this office for
perusal of CGMT.

The RDEL subsidy is available only up to 31.3.2010. It is an important source of
revenue to BSNL. Last year Gujarat Circle received about Rs. 10 Cr. on this front. With
BSNL’s revenue going down we all can try to get maximum subsidy.
