BSNL Rolls Out 3G Services In Ooty

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) has rolled out its third generation (3G) services in Coimbatore, Ooty, Coonoor and The Nilgiri Hills, which comes under Tamil Nadu telecom circle.
Tamil Nadu circle is the first South Indian city to have BSNL launched 3G services.
The BSNL’s 3G mobile service consists of Video calling, speedy Internet connectivity, Multimedia services including sharing of digital pics and films through wireless means like Live TV, Videos and Music downloads, Real-time multilayer gaming.
Moreover, the 3G service will also permit users to install fring or skype on their handsets and make free voice and video calls to other cellular phones, which have Fring or Skype anywhere throughout the world.
Together with this, Live TV, Videos, Music Downloads, Real Time multilayer gamings at the lightening fast speed of 3.5Mbps are some other electrifying services provided by 3G.
Mr. SS Sirohi, Principal General Manager & Head, VAS stated, “BSNL was planning to launch the 3G services to more than 700 cities very shortly. It is also believed that users can watch the IPL matches on Youtube on their cellphones. The future of the telecom industry is very exciting.”
Recently BSNL covered up over 300 cities with its 3G mobile and Broadband Data service Network in a range of telecom circles and benefited more than 7.50 Lakh 3G subscribers.
