Dearness Allowance rise 8% for Central Government Employees from JAN 2010

Expectations for rise in Dearness Allowance to 8% for Central Government Employees from JAN 2010
Calculation based on All India Consumer Price Index Number for Industrial Workers (CPI-IW) on base 2001=100
For all the Central Government Employees there would be a rise in DA to 8%,which would result in the overall rise to 35% from 1.1.2010.

what about 2nd installment of arrears which was about to be released in sep 09. still waiting because retired in feb 09 after taking the first instalment. is there help available by any body to settle the issue. can we claim interest on the amount. will some one help out

The rates of DA WEF 01.01.2006 are as under.
From 1-1-2006 : No Dearness Allowance
From 1-7-2006 : 2% of Basic Pay and NPA, where applicable
From 1-1-2007 : 6% of Basic Pay and NPA, where applicable
From 1-7-2007 : 9% of Basic Pay and NPA, where applicable
From 1-1-2008 : 12% of Basic Pay and NPA, where applicable
From 1-7-2008 : 16% of Basic Pay and NPA, where applicable
