Relook on BSNL Pensioners IDA Merger & Revision of Pension
TEPU had taken up with Sri.A.Raja, Honourable Minister for communications & IT, the issue of 50% IDA merger and revision of pension of those BSNL retirees who retired from service in between 1.01.2000 to 31.12.2006, when the relevant file was closed by DOT. On our approach and intervention of the Minister, DOT had now opened up the file for relook. The file is under process for merger of 50% IDA and revision of pension. Hope that the issue will be resolved in favour of and to the advantage of BSNL personnel.
BSNL Bihar's Commendable Performance & Congratulations to Sri.S.C.Mishra, CGM Bihar
TEPU feels proud to learn the outstanding performance of BSNL Bihar Telecom Circle, under the Leadership of Sri.S.C.Mishra, CGM, Bihar. As per reports, they have excelled Private Telecom Operators in providing mobile connections by gaining the number two position in the State with a slight margin of about 3000 lines compared with Air Tel. During December 2009, the Circle has achieved a target of about 4,45,000 lines by reaching to 1/3 rd of total customers. Thanks to the Leadership of Sri.S.C.Mishra, CGM, Bihar and his team, the entire BSNL fraternity of Bihar for their dedicated service in elevating the image of BSNL. Hope other Circles will follow suit.
Enhanced Maternity Leave effective from 5.1.2010
Enhancing Maternity Leave from 135 days to 180 days and introducing Special Child care Allowance for women employees with disabilities at Rs.1000/- per month for a mximum of two children, Orders released by BSNL. The date of effect of this allowance / benefit is from 5.1.2010.
As per the order , female non-executive women employees in whose case the period of 135 days of maternity leave has not expired as on 05.01.2010 shall also be entitled to the maternity leave of 180 days and special allowance for child care allowance,disability means a person having a minimum Disability of 40%
IDA Increase from 1.1.2010
The increase in IDA from 1.1.2010, for non executives in BSNL is 9.4%. Endorsement of the orders of DPE on this count and release of order by BSNL is expected today.
