Kolkata Convention


Kolkata Telephones Convention on strike demands by all Unions and Associations held on 29th March. Alok Nandi, DGS FNTO, Sushantha Ghosh, Circle Secretary West Bengal and other office bearers of FNTO attended the convention. Shri VAN Namboothiri, GS BSNLEU and Alok Nandi DGS FNTO addressed the gathering.

Q. Comparatively executive associations are organizing the joint agitations more effectively?

A. That is true. However it does not mean that your SDE/DE will not serve memo or Diesnon if you go on strike. Knowing this fact, non-executives should organize the strike effectively.

Q. Whether Pitroda committee recommendations are good or bad?

A. It should be an expert committee otherwise how Shri Pitroda can offer such recommendations sitting in U.S. and also without consulting the major stakeholders of BSNL i.e., its workforce.


BSNL LOSS MAKING

According to projection for 2009-10 the estimated loss the BSNL would occur be Rs, 3641 crores reports TOI.
