pllace,, to take stock off the siituatiion.. Comrade VAN Namboodiirii,, Convenor,, iinfformed the
JJAC members that a meetiing has been ffiixed at 0930 hrs tomorrow,, the 22..06..2010 wiith
Shrii Sachiin Piillot,, Hon’’blle Miinster off State ffor Communiicatiions.. He allso iinfformed that
meetiings wiith Shrii Pranab Mukherjjee,, Hon’’blle Fiinance Miiniister and Shrii A.. Rajja,,
Hon’’blle MoC are allso beiing arranged..
The meetiing ffellt that some emergent measures shoulld be taken to mobiilliise the entiire
workers,, as wellll as to campaiign among the generall publliic off thiis country,, to expllaiin
about the attacks beiing llaunched on BSNL,, wiith a viiew to weaken iit and ulltiimatelly to
kiillll iit.. JJAC deciided to iimmediiatelly
((ii)) send 3 llakh postcards to the Hon’’blle Priime Miiniister,, to be siigned by the
BSNL emplloyees,, on the unjjustiiffiied collllectiion off a huge amount towards
spectrum charges.. These post cards are to be posted llatest by 5tth JJully,, 2010..
((iiii)) Wiith a viiew to mobiilliize the workers,, as wellll as to campaiign among the
publliic,, JJAC deciided to conduct conventiions iimmediiatelly throughout the
country..
((iiiiii)) A natiionall conventiion iis to be organiized at New Dellhii on 21stt JJully,, 2010.. IIt iis
allso deciided to iinviite the Centrall Trade Uniion lleaders to thiis conventiion..
((iiv)) IIt iis deciided to holld regiionall llevell conventiions atlleast at Kollkata,, Chennaii,,
Bengalluru,, Mumbaii ((or some other pllace iin Maharashtra)),, JJaiipur and
Lucknow,, beffore the natiionall conventiion iis helld at New Dellhii..
((v)) JJAC deciided that iimmediiatelly Ciirclle and Diistriict llevell JJACs shoulld be fformed..
Comrades,, swiifft actiions are requiired to be taken by the trade uniions and associiatiions,,
to protect BSNL.. IIt has allready become a lloss makiing PSU and iit’’s entiire reserve ffund iis
goiing to become empty soon.. The ffuture off 3 llakh emplloyees and theiir ffamiilliies have
become glloomy.. Totall Uniity off the emplloyees and support off the publliic iis very essentiiall
to save BSNL..
Let us not be compllacent any more.. Let us llaunch massiive programme to compell the
government to giive up iit’’s antii BSNL polliiciies..
