Decisions of the meeting of the JAC held on 6th June 2011
A meeting of the Joint Action Committee of BSNL Associations/Unions of Executives & Non-Executives
was held on 6th June, 2011. Com.P.Venugopal presided over the meeting. Convener,
Com.V.A.N.Namboodiri briefed the meeting about the developments after the last meeting of the JAC
held on 30th May 2011. After detailed discussions, the following decisions were taken.
Decisions:
1. The memorandum on the New Telecom Policy 2011 (NTP 2011) to the Communications
Minister was approved by the meeting.
2. Maximum efforts to be made to meet the Communications Minister at the earliest on the issues
already presented before him.
3. The JAC welcomed the decision of the management to entrust the employees to distribute the
telephone bills and collection of dues through cheques with a small incentive. This should be
popularised amongst the workers.
4. We should discuss with the management for getting the project of the Department of Posts for
internet connections throughout the country. The Secretary General of NFPE has already been
contacted in the matter.
5. The next meeting of the JAC will be held at 1600 hours on Tuesday, 14th June 2011. All General
Secretaries are requested to come with the feed back / review on the implementation of the
Customer Delight Month so far.
