480 new members have joined BSNLEU in Andhra Pradesh Circle. The break up figures is as follows: - Hyderabad-100, Vijayawada-75, Ananthapur-72, Tirupati-55, Adilabad-37, Rajahmundry-25, Ongle-30, Guntur-20, Nellore-15, Eluru-15, Nizamabad-11, Karimnagar-11, Srikakulam-8, Vijayanagaram-6. CHQ congratulates the AP Circle union as well as the District Unions and welcome the new members.
[20.01.2012]Haryana circle treasurer of NFTE join BSNLEU with 100 members
Com.L.S.Nirwal, Haryana Circle Treasurer of NFTE, as well as a veteran leader of that Union, has joined BSNLEU. Under his leadership, 100 members of NFTE, have joined BSNLEU at Faridabad. CHQ heartily welcome Com. L.S.Nirwal and the new members.
Similarly, 100 new members have joined BSNLEU at Lucknow. Out of this 50 members are from NFTE and 50 members are from other unions. Further, 22 new members have joined BSNLEU at Darbhanga, in Bihar circle. CHQ heartily welcomes these comrades also into BSNLEU.

As per the report received from Circle Secretary, Punjab, 165 new members have joined BSNLEU in the month of January, 2012. The break up figure is as follows: - Jalandhar-52, Ferozpur-30, Bathinda-31, Chandigarh-23, Ludhiana-8. Patiala–21. CHQ congratulates Punjab Circle union as well as the District unions and welcome all the new members to BSNLEU.

The Central Secretariat meeting held today the 19.01.2012, has decided to conduct the inaugural function of K.G. Bose Bhavan on 22nd March, 2012. The meeting decided that Com. A.K. Padmanabhan, President, CITU will inaugurate the building.

[17.01.2012]TRAI releases proposals for new license
The TRAI has released proposals for new telecom license, completely overhauling the present system. According to the new proposals, the license will be technology neutral, i.e., the holder of the license can provide any service, like land line, mobile, internet, long distance, DTH, etc. At present, separate licenses are required for providing each of these services. More over, license is separated from spectrum. This means, the licensee has to purchase spectrum through auctioning. Another important aspect is, the license can be taken for any level, i.e., National level, circle level and even for district level. The price for national level license is fixed as Rs.20 cr
