The All India Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers for the months of Dec.2011 and Jan.2012 were 197 and 198 respectively. Unless the CPI(IW) for Feb.2012 increases by one point, i.e., to 199, there will be a reduction in IDA from 1.4.2012.

Kuldeep Goyal, former CMD., BSNL and R.K.Agarwal, then Director (CM) are among others booked by CBI for entering into criminal conspiracy with a private firm close to former minister Sri A.Raja and causing a loss of about Rs.535 crores to BSNL by dishonestly and intentionally withholding the sale of tender documents in a fraudulent manner, and, allegedly diluting the eligibility conditions to accommodate the said private company. The Standing Committee of Parliament on Finance is likely to recommend an exemption limit of Rs 3.00 lakh for income-tax. The committee is scheduled to finalise its views on DTC Bill by March 2. However, it is up to the Government to accept or not to accept these recommendations. Click here to read.

Wants them to decide positively on getting absorbed in BSNL and says " Your decision is also expected to make or break the future of approximately 2,70,000 work-force and their family members who are fully dependent on the existence and performance of BSNL."
