BSNL Employees Donates One Day Salary for Uttarakhand disaster to PM's Relief Fund as Contribution
The Employees of India’s Largest and No:1 Telecom Operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited(BSNL) has donated one days salary to Prime Minister’s Relief Fund(PMNRF) for helping the people affected at Uttarakhand disaster.
Forum of BSNL Unions/Associations has unanimously decided to donate one day pay to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund which will gives some relief to victims of recent natural disaster in Uttrakhand, by the donation of employees.
The total amount of Rs. Eighteen Crores has been donated by BSNL employees through their salary to Prime Minister's National Relief Fund (PMNRF) for victims of the Uttrakhand calamity. BSNL Unions/Associations has also suggested that an advance by BSNL be immediately given to Relief Fund, without waiting for the collection.
BSNL employees saluted the Military (including Air Force and all Defence Personnel ) for the continued efforts to save the stranded pilgrims, tourists and local population round the clock, without even considering their own safety.
BSNL launched helpline numbers 1503(from BSNL) and 09412024365 to know the last location of their friends and relatives using BSNL mobile connection in Uttarakhand disaster. BSNL has already restore the services at all major relief centers, at Badrinath, Joshimath, Gaurikund, Gochar, Bakot, Uttarkashi, New Tehri, Dharchula and helipads of Jollygrant and Sahstradhara.
BSNL Management has also making all efforts for the immediate restoration of BSNL services in Uttarakhand, where the employees have been doing their best to restore the services, even working 24 hours without rest.
All the Departments/Organisations may donate like BSNL Employees for Uttarakhand disaster to PM's Relief Fund as Contribution which may helps immediate recovery of Uttarakhand from natural disaster.
