[08.10.2015]Study classes to be conducted in November and December.
As per the decision of the last Dalhousie CEC meeting, study classes are to be conducted. The All India Centre meeting held today, has decided to conduct the study classes in the following centres, as per the details given below:-
(1) Name of the centre: Chandigarh.
Date: 07th & 8th November, 2015.
Punjab, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Haryana, NTR, Corporate Office and ALTTC circles will participate in this centre.
(2) Name of the centre: Bhopal.
Date: 15th & 16th November, 2015.
Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Telecom Factory (Jabalpur), Telecom Factory (Mumbai), Inspection and BRBRAITT circles will participate in this centre.
(3) Name of the centre: Lucknow.
Date: 28th & 29th November, 2015.
Uttar Pradesh (East), Uttar Pradesh (West), Uttarakhand, Bihar, Jharkhand and NTR circles will participate in this centre.
(4) Name of the centre: Kolkata.
Date: 12th & 13th December, 2015.
West Bengal, Kolkata, Assam, Odisha, Telecom Stores, NE-I and NE-II circles will participate in this centre.
(In respect of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Chennai, Karnataka and Kerala circles, the details will be finalised in consultation of these circles, taking to consideration the language in which classes are to be conducted.)
[07.10.2015]Additional Secretary, DoT, urged to take expeditious steps for filling up the post of Director (Finance), BSNL.
The Core Committee members of the Forum, who met shri N. Sivasailam, Additional Secretary, DoT, today, drew his attention to the fact that the post of Director (Finance), BSNL, is lying vacant for a very long time, which is adversely affecting the functioning of the Company. They requested the Additional Secretary, DoT, to initiate steps for conducting a re-selection, in case the already selected candidate could not be posted.

The issue of allotment of funds by the Corporate Office, to the circles, for payment of GPF advance, was once again discussed with Shri Yashwant Narayan Singh, GM (T&BFCI), yesterday by GS, BSNLEU. It is assured that funds would be released latest by next week.

[07.10.2015]Meeting with the Secretary DoT.
As per the decision of the last meeting of the Forum, the Core Committee members of the Forum met Shri Rakesh Garg, Secretary, DoT today. Com. P. Abhimanyu, Convener, Forum, com. Chandeswar Singh, President, Forum, com. K. Sebastin, GS, SNEA and com. Prahlad Rai, GS, AIBSNLEA participated. The Forum representatives expressed their concerns to the Secretary, DoT, with regards to the formation of Subsidiary Tower Company. They also conveyed their dissatisfaction to the inordinate delay in the settlement of 78.2% IDA merger to the pensioners. The representatives also requested the Secretary, DoT to take expeditious steps to implement the assurance given to the Forum, in the meeting held on 01.05.2015, in respect of the next round of pension revision to the BSNL retirees. The Secretary, DoT assured to do the needful.
[07.10.2015]Meeting with the new Additional Secretary of DoT.
Shri N. Sivasailam has taken over charge as the Additional Secretary, DoT, some time back. The Core Committee members of the Forum met him today and congratulated. Since the Additional Secretary is also a director of the BSNL Board, the Core Committee members discussed a number of issues connected with the viability of BSNL and solicited his fullest cooperation for strengthening the Company. The Additional Secretary responded very positively. He expressed his desire that BSNL should become the no.1 telecom operator in the country and assured his fullest cooperation for it.
[06.10.2015]Director (HR) writes DO letter to the CGMs on prompt settlement of pensionary benefits.
It has been taken to the notice of the BSNL Management and the DoT, that the pensionary benefits of retiring employees are being settled belatedly. Corporate Office has sent many instructions to the CGMs. But situation remains unchanged. The DoT has brought to the notice of the BSNL that out of the 1533 cases received by the CCAs for May 2015, for settlement of pensionary benefits, only in 1139 cases papers were complete. Hence Director (HR) has made concrete proposal in her letter. Circle Secretaries are requested to ensure that this is implemented.< >
[06.10.2015]BSNLEU urges Corporate Management to take prompt measures to implement Revised JTO RR.
The official minutes of the BSNL Board meeting, which approved the Revised RR of JTO, has been released. Com. P. Abhimanyu, GS, met Ms. Madhu Arora, GM (Estt.) today and urged upon her to take the following two prompt steps, based on the Revised JTO RR.
(a) To issue immediate order for the promotion of all the officiating JTOs as regular JTOs.
(b) To initiate the process for immediately holding the next JTO LICE, based on the Revised JTO RR. According to the Revised RR, all TTAs who have completed 5 years of service are eligible to appear the JTO LICE.

Demonstrations are effectively conducted throughout the country today, demanding immediate payment of Adhoc PLI. At the BSNL Corporate Office, Com.Chandeswar Singh, President, Forum, presided over the Lunch-hour demonstration and meeting. It was addressed by com.P.Abhimanyu, Convener, Forum, com.Prahalad Rai, GS, AIBSNLEA, com. K. Sebastian, GS,SNEA, com.Suresh Kumar,GS,BSNL MS, com.Rakesh Sethi, GS, AIBSNLOA and com. Mahendar Singh, AGS, FNTO. Similar conventions have taken place all over the country.

The Forum of BSNL Unions and Associations is holding demonstrations throughout the country today, demanding immediate payment of Adhoc PLI. The meeting of the Forum, scheduled to be held on 12th October will take decision to intensify the agitation, in case positive response is not received from the Management.
